List of foreign companies and organizations that have suspended their work or left the Russian market
News updates – versione italiana
It is becoming more and more difficult, each passing day, to keep track of all the sanctions and decisions related to Russia’s military actions in Ukraine.
Some decisions of world leading companies management turned out to be hasty and were later changed, either because of the negative reaction of loyal customers all over the world, or because of the Russian government latest declarations. Indeed, it was declared that foreign companies leaving the market will be subjected to external management, or will be auctioned or even nationalized, meaning they will become the property of the Russian Federation (please find details in the article “Risk of nationalization of foreign companies in Russia” Rischio di nazionalizzazione di aziende estere in Russia).
The list of goods imported into Russia and which cannot be exported from Russia until 31/12/2022, published on 10/03/2022 as an annex to Putin’s decree of 08/03/2022, includes customs codes covering all machinery, equipment and other high-technology products essential in production processes. Even this decision leaves foreign companies unarmed: not only do they risk nationalization, but they cannot even withdraw taking valuable goods with them.
Thus, the list of foreign companies that have sanctioned Russia is constantly evolving
Which companies stopped cooperating with Russia or banned access to their products after the start of the military operation in Ukraine?
